What is the weather like at the end of January begining of February? Also how busy is it?

    Hello Jenn!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

End of January and beginning of February are usually my favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort because I am from Brazil and that is right during our summer vacation.

I have already visited in July and in December, and I must say I still prefer the weather in late January and February because it is cooler, and that makes park touring easier and more comfortable. The sun is not so hot and it’s not so humid, so I really enjoy being outside at this time of the year at the place where dreams come true. Mornings can be a little chilly, but since you come from Canada you will not find that uncomfortable. We leave our Disney Resort hotel in the morning wearing a sweatshirt and light jacket or hoodie and take them off during the day. In the evening we usually put them back on as it gets colder. We have been able to enjoy our Disney Resort hotel pool and even water parks at this time of the year, but in some occasions it was colder than average and water fun was no longer an option. Average temperatures are usually between 9ºC and 22ºC.

This us also my favorite time of the year to visit because the theme parks are not as busy as other periods. Schools are in session in the Northern hemisphere, and most kids are returning to school after summer break in the Southern hemisphere. You will find the parks to be very enjoyable. Please note you still have to plan to have a better experience, so don’t forget to make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance, and FastPass+ selections 30 days before your visit or up to 60 days prior to check-in when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel.

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jenn. Please stop by as you plan so that we may continue to help you create magical memories.

    See ya real soon!
