    What is the weather like in December and when does the Christmas theme begin in the park,I am heavily considering bringing my five year old daughter this holiday season for her Christmas gift, are some rides operational, does it rain I ow it's cold :)

    What a sweet mama you are!  I think a surprise trip to The Happiest Place on Earth sounds like just about the BEST gift a little girl could receive!  Imagine the surprise in her eyes when you tell her!?

    The Disneyland Holiday season usually officially begins mid November but decorations will begin making their way into the parks around the first of the month!  By mid month, the special parades and entertainment will be in full swing and you'll be able to experience holiday exclusives such as Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Jingle Jangle Jamboree, and the Believe in Holiday Wishes fireworks display in Disneyland.  Over at California Adventure, the Buena Vista Street district will be dressed to the nine with an elegant assortment of vintage lights and decorations!  You can even meet with a retro, department store Santa at Elias and Co.

    The weather is usually dry this time of year in Southern California, but I will usually pack an umbrella or poncho just in case of a stray shower!  It's also a good idea to dress in layers, as the mornings can start out brisk with temperatures rising throughout the day!
