It's great to see you here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jared!
Early December is my absolute favorite time of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My family plans our big annual vacation right around that time every year because I can't get enough of the extra sprinkling of pixie dust that appears around the holiday season. You'll get to experience the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, the
new holiday offerings at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and you have to make sure to stop by and see the decorations at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, which are my favorite at any theme park. You'll want to use your
theme park ticket with the Park Hopper option to visit each of the four theme parks to check out all the
special things that are available only at that time of year!
When it comes to what kind of temperatures to expect, there's a saying about the weather in Central Florida: if you don't like it, wait a minute and it will change. I mentioned earlier that I've visited Walt Disney World Resort many times in the first two weeks of December and I can say confidently that the weather was different each time. In 2017, it was close to 90 degrees every day and we were in shorts and t-shirts all the time, but in 2018 we had to pack warm hats and gloves because the temperature dipped down close to freezing at nighttime. The best way to navigate this is to pack layers. It's usually chilly in the morning when I leave my
Resort Hotel so I'll add a jacket or hoodie on top of my outfit and then stow it away in my backpack if it warms up during the day. That way it's there ready for me again if it gets cold at night! I recommend that you check the weather in the week leading up to your trip and see if there's anything that you need to know about, but pack those sweatshirts and long pants just in case. Remember what Scar says? Be Prepared!
Have a magical day, Jared!
