Are wearable "Go Pro" cameras allowed on rides? If so, are there restrictions on which rides? (Example: Allowed on Pirates but NOT okay on Coasters like Thunder Mountain or Incredicoaster) What type of mount is required: head/chest, etc?

    Hello, Debbie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for stopping by with your Disneyland Resort question. I hope you’re getting excited for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

I also love capturing photos and videos to relive my family’s magical vacation memories long after we have arrived back home! Yes, action cameras like the GoPro are permitted in the theme parks with a body or head harness. I’m not aware of restrictions on specific attractions as long as the mounting device doesn’t interfere with the attraction’s safety harness. However, if your camera is not mounted, you may be asked to put it away on certain thrill rides where it could pose a safety hazard. Please keep in mind that selfie sticks or other hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices are among the list of items prohibited inside the theme parks.

I hope this answers your question, Debbie, and that your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is pixie-dusted to perfection!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
