Hi, Julie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I see that you will be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort in just a couple of days! How exciting! I am happy to tell you that you may certainly bring a small backpack or purse with you when experiencing the
attractions at the
theme parks. I like to use a small backpack-style purse or cross-body bag when I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks. Many guests use drawstring-style bags, as well; however, I personally prefer something with separate pockets or compartments. I find it keeps my belongings organized and easy to locate. I also like my park bag to have a place to hold a water bottle so that I can stay hydrated.
On many slow moving attractions such as
"it's a small world," you will be able to simply hold your bag on your lap or place it at your feet while riding. Some of the more thrilling attractions like
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain have a storage pocket in the ride vehicle where you may store your belongings.
Soarin' Around the World and certain other attractions will have a shelf under your ride seat for loose articles. If you're unsure of the best way to secure your bag on an attraction, simply ask a Cast Member.
In addition to essential items such as my wallet and phone, there are several items that I always make sure are in my park bag. These items include a portable phone charger, sunglasses, sunscreen, band-aids, hand sanitizer and/or wipes, and if the weather calls for rain, a poncho. I also like to make sure that there is room in my bag to store my
mouse ears while riding on faster moving attractions. If you have any belongings that you do not wish to carry throughout the entire day,
locker rentals are also available at all of the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Wishing you a vacation that is practically perfect in every way!
Samantha
