Hiya, Amy! Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help in planning your magical vacation! I love to sit by the pool and bake in the sun, but I also love a swim with my kids around the magically themed pools at Walt Disney World Resorts.
When you’re at
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, diaper-age children need to have appropriate swim diapers and
no clothing is allowed that has rivets or exposed metal. Those can get caught on slides or cause harm on attractions. When you and your family are pool-side, the diaper rule still applies, but you can mostly wear what you like!
If you are swimming, Disney's pool dress code asks that only lightweight clothing is worn, such as cotton or performance t-shirts and tank tops or board shorts. Denim, corduroy and other heavyweight fabrics can pose a hazard, so keep it light, and you’re set for fun! My kids prefer board shorts and rash guards at the pool over swimsuits, so that’s what we wear.
Have a splishy, splashy time at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and be sure to listen underwater in the Nemo-themed pool for a special surprise! ~Lindsey P.
