Can I wear a running belt with small water bottles during the 10K and half next weekend? Also can I wear a small string bag while I run to put clothes in as it gets hot? Thank you

    Hi Donnatella!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is right around the corner!  My bags are laying out to be packed right now:)

You can absolutely wear your running belt.  I also wear one!  I actually just keep snacks, some cash, a room key and my phone in my belt.  There are plenty of water and Powerade stops along all runDisney courses. So, you may consider that when preparing for your races.

You can also wear a small bag if you are comfortable with it.  (just be aware that all bags get searched when you arrive at the starting area)

If you didn't know this, Disney donates all clothes that are thrown off by runners throughout the races.  So, I usually take an old sweatshirt/sweatpants and toss them when I get warm.  This way, I can stay warm at the start but also feel like I am donating to a good cause.  I actually ran into the Dollar store the other day and got two zip-up hoodies to take with me for the half and full marathon.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your events.

    Happy training!
