Hi Sarah,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
You ask a very practical and very popular question! None of wants to pack too much for our vacation. After all, we’d all rather leave a bit extra room in our luggage for a few must-have souvenirs we spot during our stay. At the same time, we don’t want to be without that one piece of clothing or that one accessory that will keep us comfortable.
I’ve traveled to Walt Disney World in February any number of times. One some February trips, wearing shorts and a T-shirt is enough. On other February trips, I seemingly find myself with every other guest in the
Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. shopping and seeking the just-right softy, fleecy cover-up because, well, it’s feeling freezy.
My first advice: plan for anything weather-wise. Pack to wear layers so you can lighten up to cool down or layer up to stay warm, especially in the evenings. Pack something for wet weather. Just in case. On a trip last March, I felt compelled to buy a light-weight, water-resistant jacket at
UNIQLO in
Disney Springs. The jacket folds into its own small pocket carrier, so its super easy to tote around. It's now earned a spot among my must-pack Disney travel gear.
I also suggest bringing a hat and gloves, you know, just in case. It’s easy to toss them into a drawstring backpack or bag.
Most important of all, Sarah, is to bring those comfortable shoes!
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
