do you have to wear a mask when viewing the cirque du soleil show?

Hi William! Welcome to planDisney! It's so great to have you stop by with your question!

The Walt Disney World Resort has continued to add new and creative experiences for Guests across the parks, resorts, and even at Disney Springs! The two new nighttime spectaculars at the Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration are must-see, stunning shows. The return of A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King over at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has brought back the extravagant costumes and immersive music that has made it a staple of the park. I highly recommend attempting to see each and every one of these during your visit.

Disney Springs has completely outdone itself with the addition of Drawn to Life presented by Cirque du Soleil and Disney. I was able to attend one of the showings on my last trip and I was blown away by not only the acrobatics and thrilling stunts, but the story that was told as well. There were times we laughed and cried, but also left in pure amazement. There were plenty of subtle Disney-themed references sprinkled throughout the show. It was the perfect change of pace for a night at Walt Disney World.

Currently, all indoor venues at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Springs require wearing a face covering. Since the Cirque du Soleil show is indoors, Guests will need to wear one during the duration of the event. I did confirm this with a Cirque du Soleil representative as well. Of course, Disney is constantly updating their policies and this is always subject to change. You will receive an email a few days prior to your showtime that will detail all of the current health and safety measures.

Since there are currently two shows offered each evening, I suggest making a night of it at Disney Springs. Depending on which show you attend, make a reservation at either The BOATHOUSE or Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' (two of my favorites), before or after the show. You can make it into a truly memorable evening!

William, I hope you have a magical stay next month! Come back to see us anytime at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
    Greg
