Hi Jackie!
I'm so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. All the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort want the Guests who visit The Most Magical Place on Earth to feel comfortable enjoying the wonderful attractions in all four of the theme parks. To that end, they have established a
Disability Services line where you can call and ask any questions you may have about boarding or disembarking attractions. That number is (407) 560-2547. If you prefer to ask your questions via email, then just send your query to disability.services@disneyparks.com and they'll get back to you with an answer.
One thing you should always do as you approach an attraction that may intimidate you is to ask the Cast Member who is present at the point right before Guests board that attraction if he or she has any advice for a Guest who may need a little extra time getting on or off that attraction. They'll be happy to explain the process and what to do should you need more time. If understanding the attraction's boarding process makes you uncomfortable about proceeding, the Cast Member can direct you to an exit or a location where you can wait for the rest of your party.
You are certainly not the only person who may need extra time getting on or off an attraction. Rest assured that the Cast Members who staff these attractions are eager to help you understand the best way for you to experience them. Disney always puts safety first so they'll do everything they can to monitor Guests who may need some additional assistance. Just be sure to let them know your concerns.
Wishing you many magical memories on your upcoming trip,
Jill
