Hello, Bruce! Thank you for coming to planDisney with this question. You are a light, asking about honoring the patron saint of lost causes.
The
dress guidelines for
Walt Disney World Resort prohibit wearing clothing that could be offensive to others. As long as your shirt depicts St. Jude in an honorable fashion, there should be no issue.
St. Jude holds a very special place in my heart. St. Jude's Research Hospital saved the life of my cousin's daughter, Megan. Megan had leukemia, and for three years, St. Jude's was her home. Even on the scariest days, updates on her health were wrapped in stories of hope and encouragement from the team who cared for her with so much love. Thinking of a shirt that honors the disciple and saint who has inspired such good works in the world fills me with joy.
Have you ever spent time in the Zen Garden in the Japan Pavillion at
EPCOT? I have walked by countless times and on my last trip, I wandered into this area and discovered its beauty. I love the diversity of experiences in the theme parks. Where else can you go from saving the galaxy by jumping through time and space in a rocking coaster to a moment of quiet reflection surrounded by natural beauty - all in a matter of minutes?
I hope your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth brings you joy; the shows leave you in awe; the stories illuminate your sense of wonder; the characters ignite whimsy; the food nourishes your body and soul; and the people around you give you a reason to believe in good in the world.
Blessings to you,
Jana
