    What can you wear to dinner on DCL? It says cruise casual, formal and semi formal. But I don't own any dressy clothes. Can I wear jeans and a dressier shirt (no t-shirt) on all nights? What have you seen that is acceptable beyond the official policy?

    What to wear, that is always a great question!  The general guideline provided for the main dining rooms is no tank tops, swim wear or shorts.  Each day your personal navigator will outline the "theme" for dinner which ranges from Dress Up, to Cruise Casual to Pirate Garb (optional).  

    Now you asked what I have seen, and I'll honestly tell you...pretty much everything!  I've seen jeans, I've seen shorts, I've seen flip flops and I've seen tuxedos and ball gowns.  The "norm" is typically dresses or capri/dress pants for women and slacks and collared shirts for men.  Personally, I believe that it isn't necessarily what you wear, but how you wear it.  You can pull yourself together with well groomed hair, nice jeans and a dressy top and look much more dressed up than someone with unkempt hair, wrinkly slacks and a untucked shirt.  So based on what you've described - I certainly don't think you would be turned away.
