Can I wear crocs on horseback

    Welcome to planDisney, Krista!

There are so many wonderful extra activities throughout Walt Disney World, and horseback riding is one of them!

You'll see that Horseback Riding at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort notes Important Information that includes closed-toe shoes with a back strap are required. So, if your Crocs are the kind that meet both the closed toe requirement and you are using the back strap, you should be just fine. (My favorite park touring shoes are Crocs, but they do not meet either of these requirements. Hmm...that's a great excuse to purchase a different pair!)

While I love my Crocs, I know I was more comfortable in a shoe that laces to my foot the last time I rode a horse on a Disney vacation. Sometimes the fit of a shoe in a stirrup can be a little tighter than you'd expect, so you'll want to be sure that shoe stays on your foot as you mount, ride, and dismount. Once you are on that trail expert horse, be prepared to take in these truly beautiful sights. So relaxing!

Krista, Tri-Circle-D Ranch is such a unique experience at WDW; I'm sure you'll be delighted in all that you can experience there. Be sure to allow extra time to visit the stables where Cinderella's Ponies stay as well as meet a great variety of breeds that call this magical place home. It's such a different, quieter way to experience Walt Disney World. Enjoy every moment!

As you put together plans for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
