Danielle, first, I'd like to thank your family for your service to our country. Your commitment to protecting our freedom and peace throughout the world is honorable and appreciated.
I'm so glad you came to planDisney as you head to
Walt Disney World. It won't be long before Mickey and Minnie welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
As you get ready for your journey, you are starting on the right track. Verifying your military credentials to activate your tickets is required, but the line at
Guest Relations can be long in the morning. Luckily, you can activate these at any time. You don't need to wait until the day of your visit.
One of our family traditions is spending the weekend before Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World with friends we met on a Disney Cruise more than a decade ago. They are retired military and have bought
Military Salute tickets. As you hope to do on your upcoming trip, we activated our tickets the evening we arrived, the day before we planned to go to the Magic Kingdom. It only took a few minutes, and the next morning, we were ready to go!
We went to Magic Kingdom because we stayed at Shades of Green, but you can visit Guest Relations at the entrance to any of the four theme parks or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
Please be sure to bring your military identification. And if you are activating tickets for other adults, they must also be present.
Did you know you can purchase
Memory Maker at a special rate offered to military personnel? You can ask about adding this to your vacation when you are activating your tickets. It is such a great value, especially if you are like me: the one taking all the pictures! With this, you can capture those special moments and be in the picture, too!
Danielle, I hope you and your family have the magical vacation of your dreams! If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. You have a friend in us!
Thinking of the Happiest Things!
