Hello Jennifer! You sound like a great mom! I'm a firm believer in
working your itinerary around the pace/likes of your children. If your
children are happy, it makes for a much better vacation! I have a son who was also like this when he was younger so I know what you are
going through. The good news is, as he gets older, your son may want to
slowly try more of the rides and find out he likes them. For example,
I can remember a year we went on Big Thunder Railroad Mountain several
times in a row when it became fun for my son.
Anyway, back to your question! Unfortunately, I don't have enough
character space in my response to detail each ride but you'll
definitely want to avoid the obvious roller coasters. Others you may
want to avoid or watch before you go on:
Magic Kingdom:
Dumbo and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin (although these are slow
circular rides, there are levers that control making the ride go up and
down - you should be fine if he is in charge of that lever!).
Epcot: Test Track (although no big dibs, it is high speed), Mission:SPACE, Norway Pavillion ride.
Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror, Star Tours (motion simulator).
Animal Kingdom: Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl
When in doubt, ask a cast member. There will be at least one standing
at the entrance in front of each attraction. And if you go through the
line and your son opts out - don't worry, it happens at times and a cast
member will help you exit before boarding an attraction. Diane :)
