Been to WDW about a zillion times, lucky enough to be going to Disneyland for the first time this September. Is a day and a half enough to see both parks? Best dining for picky eaters? I'm super excited but feel very unprepared. Have a great day!

Hey Susan and thanks for the questions!  As a "coast-to-coast" Disney fanatic I can totally identify with your concerns.  Disneyland is SO different from Walt Disney World and I know you don't want to miss a thing. While I do think you could squeeze a great deal into a day and a half, I must really recommend at least 2 full days if there's any way of swinging it.

If you arrive early enough on the first day, you can spend the entire morning and afternoon exploring Disneyland before heading over to California Adventure in the evening to experience World of Color and maybe a few attractions.

You'll definitely want to devote an entire day to California Adventure, especially since this park has just completed a fabulous transformation and has two new areas to enjoy, Buena Vista Street and Cars Land. On this day, you could head over to Disneyland in the evening to enjoy Fantasmic and Magical, the evening fireworks spectacular.  I like switching between the two parks in the evening.

My top dining choices for picky eaters include the Jolly Holiday Bakery, Blue Bayou, and Carnation Cafe at Disneyland.  At California Adventure, Flos V-8 Cafe, Ariel's Grotto, and Wine Country Trattoria.  At Downtown Disney, Naples Pizzeria, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and Rainforest Cafe.  You may also wish to consider the character dining opportunities and the DIsneyland Resort Hotels: Goofy's Kitchen and Storyteller's Cafe.

    Best Wishes,
