We'll be at WDW 9/21-9/27. I have a 13 and a 10 yrs old. We have the dining plan. I'm trying to decide between 2 restaurants - Coral Reef and Cape May Cafe. Could you provide some input /suggestion on them? How far advance should I make the reservation?

    Hi Nadia,

First of all, yes! you should definitely make your reservations.  You are falling into the end of the "free-dining" period during your trip and I suspect that everything will be booked solid, especially these popular ones that you have chosen.  You can make your reservations 180 days in advance...so you should make them now.  This is a tough one to answer for me as you have picked 2 of my all-time favorite places to eat.  If I HAD to choose one over the other then it would be "Coral Reef".  This restaurant I have included in all of my restaurant answers as I love it so much and I think this is such a unique experience you will not get anywhere else but here!  The food is unbelievable...first class and service...impeccable, don't even get me started on the huge salt water fish tank that is visible from every single table in the restaurant and the facts you will learn about the marine life while you are eating.  This is also a dining experience for all ages in my opinion.

Cape May Café, which is located at the Beach Club Resort is a buffet style dining experience (character dining for breakfast) and regular buffet dining after that.  This is a popular restaurant as well and I also think the food here is great.  It is called a "Clam Bake", and while there is seafood on the buffet, there are many other choices available for those who would rather want ribs, chicken, pasta, etc.. and don't even get me started on their dessert bar..ooooh!  One thing I really like about this experience is that they have a separate buffet set up "just for kids", really good for those "picky" eaters with many selections for every tastebud.  Go with your gut instinct and on your next trip you can try the one that was not picked this time!!!

    Have a magical day!
