We will be going to WDW with our 2yr old. There’s some rides we wanted to do Rider Swap and I’m booking FP as well, do we all need to show up with FastPass when we also request Rider Swap? I wanted to book another ride At the same time while we wait.

    Hi, there!

Yesenia, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a few short weeks away. How very exciting!

Taking a little one to theme parks always makes for a magical experience. My heart just melts when I see my kids' faces light up with joy in the theme parks! My little ones range from 8-years old to 18-months, so we love using Disney's Rider Switch for thrill-type attractions that our baby is just too small for. To maximize our precious time in the theme parks, we try to use FastPass+ and Rider Switch together. I'm happy to explain how that works! To use Rider Switch, approach the Cast Member who is standing at the entrance of the eligible attraction and request the service. The person who is designated as the "Waiting Adult" will be issued a Rider Switch entitlement on their MagicBand or card. This entitlement works just like a FastPass+, and can be issued to two additional Guests so that the Waiting Adult doesn't have to ride alone. If the first group to ride has a FastPass+ for the attraction, they may enter the FastPass+ queue. If you are the Waiting Adult, this is a great time to take your 2-year old on a family-friendly attraction. Since you have a Rider Switch entitlement for the attraction the rest of your group is experiencing, that means you have an available FastPass+ to use for a family-friendly attraction. Once everyone has exited their respective attractions, you can enter the FastPass+ line at the Rider Switch attraction with your Rider Switch entitlement. In my family, I'm always the designated Waiting Adult. My husband and sons will ride first using FastPass+, while I take my daughter on another attraction using FastPass+. Then, we meet up, and my sons ride the Rider Switch attraction for a second time as my Guests with Rider Switch entitlements!

I hope this was helpful, Yesenia. I'm wishing you the most magical visit!
