We will be at WDW from 5/31- 6/3/22, with our 6 and 4 year old grandchildren. Will Chef Mickey's be offering character breakfasts? Will the Castle have princesses?

Hello Virginia! Welcome back to planDisney!

How exciting that you're planning another trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! The countdown is on and I'm sure you're ready to start booking those Advance Dining Reservations, especially if you want to choose some Character Dining Experiences! I think dining with the Fab Five and other Character pals is a great way to get "up close and personal" (or at least as up close and personal as you're going to get right now!) with all of your favorites! While hugs may still be off the table, at most open Character Dining locations you'll find that socially distanced meet and greets are still possible with Characters strutting through the restaurant or dancing down the aisles.

Chef Mickey's at Disney Contemporary Resort is one of my family's very favorite places to catch our favorite characters! The food is kid-friendly, the Cast Members are beyond helpful, and who doesn't want to dine with the "Big Man" himself? Characters make the rounds at both breakfast and dinner reservation times, waving and connecting with diners even from farther away.  One of my favorite reasons to dine here is because I just love to see the Monorail gliding through the Resort! To me, that is 100% Disney magic at its finest!

When you refer to princesses at Cinderella Castle, I'm wondering if you mean dining at Cinderella's Royal Table?  Right now, Cinderella is the only princess making an appearance at this Character Dining Experience, but there are other special magic touches included as part of your dining experience! While Cinderella does visit, she waves from afar, and Guests are able to take her picture from their seats.   If you have a little princess who would love to see her, this is a great way to have a delicious meal and be surrounded by the enchanting atmosphere of Cinderella Castle.

If you're looking for other ways to see your favorite characters while you're visiting, check out the Tip Board through Disney Genie Service in your My Disney Experience account. Here, you'll be able to see showtimes of upcoming character cavalcades rolling through the Parks, showtimes for Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire, which includes lots of your favorite pals, and wait times to see Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall.  With so many ways to find all those iconic characters, I'm sure you're little ones will get their fill!

    Enjoy your magical vacation, Virginia!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
