We will be in WDW for our 4 year old daughter's first visit. I've read various places across the internet that you should advise restaurant's that you have ADR's for about the child's first visit. Is this true and do they do something special for them?

Hello Katherine, I love seeing a fellow North Carolinian here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I bet you are so excited for your daughter's first visit to Walt Disney World.  When you check in, be sure to grab her a button that says "1st Visit" on it and have her wear it during the trip. She will be sure to get lots of smiles and high fives from Cast Members and Guests while she wears it.  I do know that restaurants do something special (a cupcake with a candle) for guests wearing an "It's My Birthday" button.  While I've not experienced someone getting something because it's their first visit that doesn't mean that the magic doesn't happen.  It certainly can't hurt to mention it when you check in to the restaurant.  Disney magic is around every corner and I wouldn't be surprised if your daughter receives something special along the way.

I hope this helps.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
