Hi Tracy,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical Disney vacations! There are a couple of annual events at Walt Disney World during your stay that you might want to consider attending.
You will be at Walt Disney World during the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This is one of my favorite events at Walt Disney World. Epcot is abuzz with kiosks where you can purchase and sample food from around the world, and there are many culinary and mixology seminars and demonstrations held at the Festival Center. At night, you can take in musical entertainment at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.
Another option for you is to attend
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, offered on select nights in September and October. This fun, after-hours event encourages guests to celebrate Halloween with activities such as trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom. There is also great entertainment, including the amazing Boo-to-You Parade and Happy HalloWishes fireworks. If you do decide to attend, be sure to buy your ticket early and consider if your family wants to go in costume. There are costume guidelines at the link I provided, and if you do want to go in costume, you may want to consider packing these from home.
While I am not currently aware of any special specific one-day events during your trip, do monitor the Disney Parks Blog for announcements of any upcoming events as your trip approaches.
Please let us know if you have any further questions, Tracy!
