We are going to WDW in 2 weeks and my mom will have a scooter. We were told that all transportation including busses to and from our resort (POR) are equipped for the scooters. Is that not true?

Hi, Helen! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question.

Transportation options between all Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Theme Parks, and Disney Springs can accommodate wheelchairs and electric scooters. When using the transportation buses, there are specific areas marked where you will wait with the scooter. Once the bus arrives and unloads, the driver will assist you with getting the scooter on board and will securely fasten it so it does not shift during the ride. Your mom will then transfer to a bus seat for safety. Once you have reached your destination, after other Guests have exited the bus, your driver will again assist in getting the scooter off the bus before you head off to your exciting adventures!

Wishing you a magical vacation, Helen!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
