We are going to WDW in 3 weeks. We have the disney dining pkg. I've been calling to get rsvp for meals since June, but most are booked or the times are terrible. Any other better ways to get rsvp? Kids want to go to Chef Mickeys. Thanks

Unfortunately there is no better way to book meals. Although later in the year, guests will be able to start making Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) via an online service.

The key to getting in to the coveted restaurants and desired meal times is to call 180 days prior to your vacation Check In date.

Making sure my plans are in place for touring six months in advance takes some planning but following this strategy, I have always gotten my first choice of dining reservations. As the 180 day mark grows nearer, you'll find me editing our itinerary to make sure I've planned where in the "world" we'll be each day and which restaurants we want to visit.

It sounds like your visit is also during September's Free Dining promotion. Table service meals are difficult to secure at your first choice restaurants (especially during September) unless you've booked six months in advance.

Have you tried getting an ADR at Chef Mickey's for lunch? This meal has been added from August 24 - September 27 to help accommodate the guests taking advantage of Free Dining and thus eating at more table service restaurants than usual. Chef Mickey's usually only serves meals at breakfast and dinner.
