Hi Wendy!
Its always great to hear from a fellow Georgia Peach. Celebrating Christmas at Disney World is always extra magical. The parks and resorts are so incredibly beautiful.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is typically held on select evenings beginning in early November up until about a week before Christmas. A limited number of special event tickets are sold for each MVMCP which keeps the crowd levels down and allows party goers an opportunity to enjoy the event without a capacity crowd in the Magic Kingdom. Peak season begins just before Christmas and crowd levels are typically at one of their highest of the year. While I can't say for 100% certainty, I think it would be difficult to continue to close the Magic Kingdom at 7:00 p.m. a few times a week for MVMCP. That would leave a lot of Guests with fewer options during their trip.
The good news is that beginning December 21, 2013, you will be able to enjoy some of the things that are only offered during MVMCP prior to the last event evening which is December 20th this year. Be sure to check the
Times Guide for
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade which will run in the afternoon. You can also see
Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season as the featured nighttime extravaganza.
Times Guides are available as you enter the park, most merchandise locations and Guest Relations. You can also find entertainment schedules by downloading the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. This app is free and available for both iPhones and Androids.
