Will be in WDW for the week beginning 7/3. Currently on calendar MK does not have Fireworks show scheduled the night of 7/4. Because of the Holiday are they planning on having a show??

    Hi Marc!

The Magic Kingdom will have a special 4th of July fireworks show.  It is spectacular!  However, you should know that the Magic Kingdom, and Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, will be packed for the 4th of July.  Historically, Animal Kingdom is not that crowded that day; my personal belief is it's because that theme park doesn't have fireworks.

If you want to see the Magic Kingdom 4th of July fireworks, you should be in the park early as the park will historically close "due to capacity" that day.  Sometimes, they will let guests enter in the evening, but instead of entering onto Main Street as usual, guests are routed immediately to a backstage "holding area", such as a parking lot, to watch the fireworks from there.

Another option is to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach at the Grand Floridian or Polynesian Resort.  My family watched the fireworks from the Polynesian last 4th of July and we loved it!  It definitely is a lot less crowded.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more question!
