WDW Vs Vero or Hilton just two of us 2013! Never been to Vero/ HH-shuttle to and from airport? cost ? would be for our 28th anniversary-June i2012 is our 27 and taking whole family to BLT 2 BR for week. OUR 25th WLV first trip alone-was great!

    Hello, Denise!

What great plans you've made for last year, this year and next year!  Congratulations!

We've been married for almost 21 years, so I know how happy you are that you finally got away by yourselves for your 25th.  Then again, it's really nice to celebrate with everyone, too, so have a great time this June at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort!

Now, regarding your 28th anniversary celebration, I think I have to ask you to consider what you envision.  We've been to both Disney's Vero Beach Resort as well as Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort; there are unique features to each one, so I'll do the best I can to provide you with the details needed to choose wisely.

Disney's Vero Beach Resort, in my opinion, is more of a true beach resort.  Because it's right on the ocean, the beach is right there, on the other side of a gorgeous window or right beside you as you dine on a truly spectacular Sunday Brunch (YUM!)  The pool is fun, yet relaxing, and the resort just feels so very exclusive, in a celebratory kind of way!

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is also lovely, with great beach access; however, the resort rooms are not on the beach.  You'll need to walk to the pool / beach access (just a short distance away) in order to spend your days on the sand, with the surf at your feet.

For both of these resorts, we rented a car (or, yes, drove our own!) so that we'd be able to get to other attractions in and around the area.  For a cost that  isn't much more than a round-trip taxi ride from the airport, you'll be able to have your own car, which will enable you to stock up on in-room treats for snacks, etc., as well as a little exploration of the town nearby.

Best wishes for yet another remarkable anniversary celebration!
