1st WDW visit for my family. My girls are 11, 15 & 17. We have a 5 day hopper & plan on spending time in just the parks. We do want to shop as well. Is shopping as good in the parks or is Downtown Disney a 'must do!'?Couldn't have planned w/out you

    Hi Wendy,

I love to shop and although you can get basically the same souvenirs anywhere within Walt Disney World (parks or WDW resorts, etc...), Downtown Disney is still a"must do" on each of my vacations.  You will find many stores such as Lego, record stores, art stores, clothes stores, etc....but we love Downtown Disney just as much for the atmosphere.  There are lots of restaurants (Rainforest Café, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck's, etc..etc..) as well as night clubs and DisneyQuest is also located here.  There is also so much entertainment going on in the streets of Downtown Disney all the time.  I really think that if you have some spare time that this would be an experience you should definitely try and make time for in your schedule.  It's not just shopping but the whole experience here is very unique and the atmosphere is quite unbeatable!

    Have a magical day!
