Will be in WDW on Valentine's Day 2012 - are there any special Valentines events?

Hello Pat!  You must be getting excited about your upcoming trip!  While there aren't any big celebrations at Disney World during Valentine's Day, there are a lot of options of special things you can do for your sweetheart and/or children.   You can look at this list of romantic ideas from an outside website for a few ideas: Romantic Ideas at Disney World   Here is another blog link written by the manager of Disney Floral and Gifts:  Making Valentine's Day Special at Disney World.   The Disney Floral and Gifts website also has many ideas for specialty gifts.
Here is a link to the Valentine's Day gifts.  They just launched the new Mickey's Valentine Surprise and Minnie's Valentine Surprise. Any child would love this!  They get a valentine from either Mickey or Minnie (along with several gifts and treats) and then they get a special invitation to finish a valentine for Mickey or Minnie and present it to them in person!  What a great surprise!
I would recommend ordering any gifts in advance to ensure delivery during your trip as some of the specialty products may sell out.  Also, there are usually some Valentine type decorations around Downtown Disney, so you may want to take a trip there.
Enjoy your trip!  You picked a great time to go.
