We have a WDW vacation planned for late September and have heard wonderful things about Chef Mickey's place. Where and when can a reservation be made, is there a better time of day to get a reservation? I tried this online and I was not successful.

    Hi Stacy,

Yes, Chef Mickey's is a magical place to dine!  Where else can you get some one-on-one time with "the big cheese" while Disney's iconic monorails glide overhead?  This incredibly fun restaurant is located on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort, just one monorail stop away from the Magic Kingdom.  If you'd like to read more about it, check out the post I wrote for the Orbitz travel blog.  Go to www.orbitz.com/blog and then search for "Chef Mickey."

If you will be visiting this September, you can make reservations to dine at Chef Mickey's immediately.  If you are not having luck finding an available reservation online, call (407) WDW-DINE and ask one of the Cast Members there to help you find a reservation time.  Since this restaurant is incredibly well-known and popular you will likely need to be very flexible in your preferred dining times.

Let us know if you need any additional suggestions for character dining experiences.  If Chef Mickey's is not available, you might want to consider making a breakfast reservation at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Resort instead.  You will also find Mickey making appearance there in the mornings.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that a reservation time will be available for your family's upcoming trip.  Have fun in September!
