We have a WDW vacation planned for January. I received my MagicBand+. Should I charge it now and link it to our reservation or wait till closer to our departure? Thank you for your help!!!!!! 💕

    Hiya, Joseph!

Welcome back to planDisney! I am so delighted to hear that you received your new MagicBand+. This amazing new accessory offers so many fun new features that make park days even more magical. Perhaps my favorite new feature is the interactions with nighttime spectaculars. I was able to use my new MagicBand+ on a recent trip and it made viewing Harmonious and Disney Enchantment even more fabulous.

You can absolutely charge and link your MagicBand+ now. It will not affect your band function during your trip. I would personally recommend linking the band now to ensure that you do not encounter any tech or charging situations that may require additional support. Finding that you are unable to pair your MagicBand+ right before your head off to the airport may add an extra step to your to-do list that you weren't expecting. Once you link and charge your band, you can power it off and pack it away with the rest of your vacation essentials until your departure date arrives. MagicBand+ options can be powered off by holding the small button on the back for about 6 seconds. I would also recommend charging it the night before leaving, just in case the battery is low.

I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
