We are going to WDW with our two kids (4 & 7) in May, how long would you recommend planning to visit in each park? I've heard various tips - like plan a half-day for AK and then plan 2 days from another source.

    Hi Lisa,

I always recommend at least one full day per Park. My family prefers 2 for each Theme Park when possible. If I only have 6 Park days though, then I plan 2 at Magic Kingdom, 2 at Epcot (due to the sheer size of it), 1 at Hollywood Studios and 1 at Animal Kingdom.

I do want to add though that Animal Kingdom is my family's favorite Park. I often hear people say that they can, "do it in a half day", but I counter that there is no way they are thoroughly immersing themselves in the Park and giving it a chance. The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and the Maharajah Jungle Trek each could take at least 30-45 minutes to stroll and enjoy the animals. Point is that there are so many "little things" in each Park that are not to be missed. If you can swing it, I'd plan on 7-8 total Park days.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation,
