been to WDW twice now once spring break and the other time between Christmas and New Years. This time im looking into the last week in Sept. I know the crowds will be smaller would it be worth spending the extra $$ on MNSSHP

    Hi Kristy!
In a word...ABSOLUTELY!! We did MNSSHP on our trip in October of 2009 and my two girls (ages 11 and 6) loved it!! The park takes on a completely different feel with all of the children AND characters dressed in costume. There are loads of "trick or treat" locations, and the music, parade and fireworks show created just for the Halloween season are incredible! Walking down Main Street USA with its eerie oranges, purples, and blacks is as fun as it is different. The entertainment offerings experienced during MNSSHP cannot be viewed by regular park guests, so that adds to the mystique a bit, too. The one thing to keep in mind before deciding on the added expense is...will your kids be able to handle the late night after a possibly jam-packed day?? These types of events only make sense if you are able to stay for the bulk of the time. If you're not sure about their stamina, I recommend taking a midday break back at the hotel (maybe a swim) before heading to the park on your scheduled night. Otherwise, I recommend this event 100%. I hope you have a magical (and not so scary) vacation!! :)
