1st WDW trip. My wife, myself and our then just turned 3 y/o son. Staying @ Saratoga Springs, have 5 day park hopper passes, and DDP. Need help. We want to celebrate our 6th Anniversary and his 3rd B-Day.

    Hi Randy,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions about your first trip to Walt Disney World.  You have so much to celebrate on this trip!  Let me give you some thoughts on where to get started.

I suggest that you stop at Guest Relations at any Disney theme park to pick up free celebration buttons.  You can pick up buttons that announce occasions such as "1st Visit," "Happy Birthday," and "Happy Anniversary."  By wearing these buttons around the Disney theme parks, you may hear cast members and other guests alike offering well-wishes.  Although it is not guaranteed, sometimes a cast member will see one of these buttons and sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your vacation, like a cupcake after lunch.

Since you have the Disney Dining Plan, you might want to consider making some meals extra special to celebrate your occasions.  If your son enjoys the Disney Junior Channel, you could head to Hollywood & Vine for a Disney Junior Play 'n Dine breakfast or lunch, where he could meet, sing, and dance with characters from Disney Junior.  For your anniversary, how about an elegant night out at a signature dining restaurant such as Flying Fish Cafe or California Grill?  Since your son will have just turned three years old, he will be old enough to go to one of the Children's Activity Centers, as long as he is potty trained, while you and your wife enjoy an evening out.  If he is not yet potty trained or you would rather he be in your resort room heading to bed if you are out late, you can contact Kid's Nite Out at 1-800-696-8105.  They provide in-room babysitting services.  My daughter has both gone to the Children's Activity Centers and has had sitters from Kid's Nite Out and has loved both.

I would love to help you plan more Randy; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer.  Please do write back if you have any further questions!
