1st WDW trip. Would like to eat dinner at Beaches and Cream. Are there any evening fireworks/etc that can be viewed from Beach resort, if not what nearby would you suggest? Please give details on eating/travel times, specifics would be great. Thx!

Beaches and Cream is a ton of fun, Kim.  There is an obstructed view of IllumiNations from the bridge that connects the Beach Club to the BoardWalk.  The walk to that area from Beaches and Cream won't take any more than ten minutes at a slow pace.  If you want a more clear view of the fireworks from outside a theme park, I would suggest the beach area at the Grand Floridian or Polynesian.  Both offer excellent views.  Transportation time via private vehicle to either from the Beach Club is about fifteen to twenty minutes.  If you're relying on Disney transportation, it will take significantly longer--plan on at least an hour.  As for how long it will take to eat, plan on an hour.  Since Beaches and Cream does not accept reservations, it is best to arrive close to opening or late in the evening when wait times will be shortest.  I hope that helps.  Please don't hesitate to follow-up with me if I can be of further assistance.
