1st WDW trip in Aug. Calendar has morn. magic hrs. Aug 5th @ MK. Does that mean park opens to resort guests @ 8am? We have a ADR @ Chef Mickey's for 9:15 that morn. Just trying to see if we have time to go to MK 1st b4 bfast. This forum rocks, thanks!!

With the Extra Magic Hours, yes as a resort guest you are eligible to enter Magic Kingdom an hour earlier (in this case 8:00 AM).    Now, as for the question whether you will have time to visit before breakfast, it appears it is going to be tight.   You likely know that Chef Mickey is located in the Contemporary Resort relatively close to Magic Kingdom.    You can choose to either walk to and from Magic Kingdom or take the resort monorail.    You should leave yourself at least 20 mins to assure you make it by 9:15.   That would leave you with a little less than an hour in Magic Kingdom.   Since most rides are away from the main entrance, you will likely be able to hit only 1 or 2 attractions before having to exit back out.    So, if you are really interested in getting an early start great, however, you should set your expectations that this may mean getting on just a single ride or two.
