Hey there, Greg! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
While Scar may be a dastardly Disney villain, he had one good idea: “Be prepared!” You never know what life will throw at you, and something like
travel insurance can help give you peace of mind as you plan your Walt Disney World adventures. Not only does the travel insurance offered through Walt Disney World cover expenses related to trip cancellation and delays, but it also covers some costs related to bag loss or damage, medical expenses, and rental car damage.
Walt Disney World travel insurance is currently $95 per person (costs subject to change). You can add travel insurance to your vacation package at any time before final payment. If you are creating a new reservation, just click “Add Travel Protection” in your cart. If you’d like to modify an existing vacation package then you’ll need to go to “My Plans” on the Walt Disney World website and then select “Change Reservation.” An option to add the travel protection plan will be there if your trip is eligible. You can also speak with a friendly Cast Member on the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Tickets line to add travel insurance or if you have any questions.
I just know you’re going to have the best summer Disney trip, Greg. Make sure you take advantage of the
water park perk available to guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels in 2025, and all the new shows like
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure at Hollywood Studios. You’ve picked a great time to visit the Vacation Kingdom!
I hope this information helps with your planning. Don’t hesitate to come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
Magical travels!
Matt
