Hi Raegan,
Congratulations on your son's very first visit! You will be happy to know you may bring food and beverages into the theme parks. The policies regarding bringing in food stipulate that the food brought in must not require heating as outlined here in the frequently asked questions regarding
Outside food and drink. It is important to also know about
Restricted personal items when planning what to bring for your child since such items like coolers larger than 24" x 15" x 18" are not allowed in any of the theme parks nor are straws in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.
When visiting the theme parks with my own toddlers I made sure to pack a small cooler with food and beverages which I stored underneath my stroller. If we were visiting during especially warm weather I made sure to pack plenty of fluids. I always liked to freeze juice boxes/pouches and pack them along with my cold beverages so that I didn't have to pack additional cold packs.
Since you are visiting with a young child you should know about the Baby Care Centers located in each of the theme parks. My fellow Moms Panelist Jen has a great video about the Baby Care Centers in this video:
DisneyKids - Baby Care Centers Thank you for stopping by with your question Raegan. If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions be sure to visit us again, we are always happy to help you plan your next magical adventure!
Blessings,
