We are going to WDW for the 1st time (m, d grandma and 6 yr old girl) in Feb2012. I tend to be a type-A "planner" while my husband is a "let's keep it lax & see what comes up" kind of person. Any advice on what to plan w/out over p

    Hi Dina!

Wow, congratulations on planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! I can tell you from experience that it is better to have a plan of attack than not to have any plans at all and totally go with the flow!  Walt Disney World is a big place with four theme parks and lots to do.  If you just go with the flow, you will inevitably spend more time waiting in lines, taking lots of time deciding what to do, or wandering around aimlessly.  My advice to you is to do as much research about Walt Disney World that you can before your trip.  Always get to each park about 30 minutes before it is scheduled to open for that day and ride the most popular rides first.  The best strategy is to make a plan and then be prepared to be flexible with your plan as the day develops and keep in mind the needs of the rest of your party.  I find that having a plan allows me to actually be flexible!  Remember, you can ask us Moms as many questions as you like as you prepare for your Walt Disney World vacation!

I hope that your first vacation at Walt Disney World is truly magical for you and your family!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
