Hey Amy-
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for your family's first trip to the place "where dreams come true." Your darling daughters will meet their favorite Disney princesses. They may ask them any question: ask Ariel about snarfblats or Elsa about her favorite snowman. Fall is a beautiful time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Your family will have a blast and dining will be simple.
When you arrive at a table service restaurant where you want to use Disney Dining Plan credits and your parents want to pay cash or credit, just let the server know at the beginning of the meal. Typically they ask, "Are you using a Disney Dining Plan?" You would say yes for four and the other two will pay separately.
The real trick is getting a reservation at the highly acclaimed
Cinderella's Royal Table. Advanced dining reservations open 180 days before your desired dining time. You may make reservations online beginning at 6:00 a.m. EST or by phone (407-WDW-DINE or 407-939-3463) beginning at 7:00 a.m. EST. Advance payment is required to reserve Cinderella's Royal Table which will be refunded to those who use a Disney Dining Plan. Since your parents are paying cash, I would recommend they place the reservation on their credit card. Reservations may only be made with one form of payment.
Disney Dad Tip: While in the Grand Hall in Cinderella Castle get your camera out and take a moment to soak up all the beautiful details. Hidden surprises are everywhere with my favorite, Jacques and Gus, on the ledge over the fireplace.
Amy, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
