Will be in WDW 12-12 till 12-17. Just dh and myself, senior citizens. Staying POFQ. My ?- have resv Biergarten 4:50, would like to go from there to different resorts to see decorations, need transportation plan to suggested resorts and back to POFQ. Thanks

Hi Rebecca! There is nothing more special then a holiday visit to Walt Disney World!  I love the holiday spirit that seems to prevail wherever you are when you visit the parks and resorts.

To hit the main resorts where there are great holiday decorations and traditions will take some time but it can be done.  I suggest you head from Port Orleans French Quarter to the Magic Kingdom just after lunch.  When you arrive at this park hop on the monorail and make the Contemporary your first stop.  There you can view a 17 foot gingerbread tree in the Grand Canyon Concourse with the opportunity to purchase some of the great treats. There will be some one of a kind treats and some demonstrations from the great resort chefs.  From there hop on the monorail and stop at the Grand Floridian resort. This is where you will find the life size gingerbread house in the lobby with a bake shop. There will also be intermittent demonstrations here.

Next  hop on the monorail again and transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center for the EPCOT monorail.  You should have plenty of time to walk to the Germany Pavilion in the World Showcase for dinner.  When you have finished head over and exit from the International Gateway and walk to the Boardwalk resort.  In the lobby here you will find a holiday gazebo with a holiday scene made from gingerbread.

Last stops will be the Yacht and Beach Club resorts.  Just a short walk back across the bridge and head to both resort lobbies where you will find a holiday village and train display as well as my favorite edible holiday carousel.  Don't forget to look for the hidden Mickey's!

To get back to your resort you can either walk through EPCOT to the bus area or simply take a taxi from the Yacht or Beach Club.  This would only be about a $12-$15 ride and certainly worth the time and effort.  Taxis are readily available from these resorts.  Enjoy!
