Hiya George! Welcome to planDisney!
Planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort is such a great way to kick off the new year! I’d be happy to help answer your question regarding ticket prices.
I see that you’re planning to arrive on February 1st. Ticket prices at Walt Disney World Resort are date-based, meaning the price will depend on the start date of your ticket, as well as the length of your visit.
Prices also vary depending on the type of ticket that you purchase. You have
four ticket options to choose from:
- 1 Park Per Day, which allows you to visit one park each day of your visit.
- Water Park and Sports Option, which allows you to visit one park each day of your visit and also gives you access to a Walt Disney World water park (either Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, whichever is open), ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, FootGolf at Disney's Oak Trail, Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one round prior to 4:00 PM), and Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (one round prior to 4:00 PM).
- Park Hopper Option, which allows you to visit multiple theme parks each day of your visit.
- Park Hopper Plus Option, which allows you to visit multiple theme parks each day of your visit, as well as access to the same offerings included with the Water Park and Sports Option.
Now that’s a lot of information! To help you decide which option is best for you, once you’ve chosen February 1st as your ticket start date, the next step is deciding how many days you’d like to visit the parks. From there, you can determine whether you’d prefer to spend a full day in each park or have the flexibility to visit multiple parks in one day. You’ll also want to consider whether you’re interested in any of the additional offerings included with the Water Park and Sports or Park Hopper Plus Options.
Here are a couple of things that have helped me and my family decide which type of tickets work best when planning our vacations. If you are staying four days or more, 1 Park Per Day tickets are great, as they allow you to dedicate a full day to each park. There is so much to see and do in the parks, one day is not enough to see and do it all, but it’s a great start! If you’re visiting for three days or fewer, Park Hopper tickets can be a great choice, as they allow you to experience each park in a shorter timeframe.
Lastly, be sure to check the
Special Offers page! Any current Disney Resorts Collection hotel offers, ticket deals, or other available promotions will be listed here. When signed into your My Disney account on the Walt Disney World website, you can also view any ticket offers available to you by visiting the
Buy Theme Park Tickets page. Any savings you find could leave a little extra Pixie Dust in your budget for things like
Enchanting Extras!
I hope this information has been helpful and assists you in narrowing down which ticket option is right for you. Once you’ve selected your preferences, you’ll be able to see the exact pricing for your visit.
