We are going to be at WDW on the 24th-27th. I see the EMH for MK are on the 24th in the AM. I have been told to get to the park early to see the show they do before the park opens. Does that mean we will not be allowed in before 9:00 to see the show?

Listen for the whistle of the Walt Disney World steam train. It signals the start of your magical day!

As the train rolls in to the Main Street Station, early morning visitors to the Magic Kingdom are treated to a Magic Kingdom Welcome. After you enter the turnstiles, stand in front of the Mickey Floral. As soon as I hear “Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Welcome to the Magic Kingdom…welcome to a place where dreams come true”, you’ll see tears glistening in my eyes.  You’ll be cordially welcomed to the most magical place on earth.

The anticipation builds as you await for the Magic Kingdom to open and the “Good Morning” song is sung brightly. Just when I think I can’t get any more choked up “Zip-a-dee-doo-dah” plays as the train rolls in to the Main Street U.S.A. station. Then Mickey and all his pals come out to greet the guests. (I need to go grab a tissue now.) Finally the countdown begins. Guests count down backwards from 10 and then the park is opened!

On mornings that the Magic Kingdom opens at 9 a.m., the Welcome will take place at 8:48 a.m.
For Extra Magic mornings when the Magic Kingdom opens at 8 a.m., the Welcome takes place at 7:55 a.m.

Therefore, you will still get to see the show on April 24th if you are participating in the Extra Magic Hour.
