Hi Cyndy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Hooray for planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Given the ages of your children, you only need to pay for a
dining plan for the adults in your group. Children under 3-years of age may share a meal with an adult at no extra charge. We love the Disney Dining and Disney Deluxe Dining Plans. Purchasing a dining plan allows me to better estimate our food cost because food can be expensive at the Walt Disney World Resort. Since some menus are available online, I always check those menus to determine the prices of meals before we go. We want to be sure that, given where we want to dine, a dining plan is a good value.
Coral Reef Restaurant is one that we enjoy in Epcot. The
dinner menu will give you an idea of dinner prices. With a dining plan, each guest 3-years old and over also gets two snacks per night of stay and a resort refillable mug. Those mugs have been a HUGE value for us while we are at the resort. We refill them often. When on the Disney Dining Plan, we take our own snacks for breakfast, then use a quick-service meal for lunch and a table-service meal for dinner. With the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, we eat like royalty!
Cyndy, I would not advise the Park Hopper option if you are on a budget. When our girls were young, we purchased it once but we did not need it, especially because we went back to the resort hotel for the girls to take a nap in the afternoon. To determine Park Hopper prices for the exact length of your stay, check the Walt Disney World website, select a resort hotel, enter the number of people in your party, nights of stay, and number of ticket days. Then, you can add the Park Hopper to determine the price.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
