Hi. We will be in WDW for Thanksgiving this year! Staying at Saratoga Springs. There are 8 of us-3 adults, 5 kids (most over age 10). Any suggestions on best place to celebrate Thanksgiving Dinner together where it will still feel like the Holiday?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How wonderful to be celebrating Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World! Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will be a wonderful home base for your celebration. It is a lovely and relaxing resort.

Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom would be a great place for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. This restaurant, located in the Liberty Square area of Magic Kingdom, takes you back to the days of America's founding fathers. Turkey and a thanksgiving-style menu including stuffing and mashed potatoes is always offered here.

I recommend that you monitor the Disney Parks Blog as Thanksgiving approaches. There will often be announcements there if certain restaurants are going to offer special Thanksgiving meals. Also, if you are a Disney Vacation Club member, keep an eye out for announcements of a special Thanksgiving feast for members. Although there is no guarantee that this will happen again, in recent years there has been a member event with Thanksgiving dinner offered at Disney's Contemporary Resort with not only Thanksgiving fare, but also characters to meet! Check in on the Disney Vacation Club website for possible announcements on a similar event this year.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Jennifer! Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
