hi i will be going to wdw this summer with my kids 8 and 10 yr old. i know my 10 year old will have the adult meal plan on the dinning plan but can i pay the extra and get my 8 year old on the same adult plan.

    Hi Sandy!

Because the Disney Dining Plan is based on age (as are park tickets) you would be paying to upgrade the Dining Plan to an adult as well as paying adult park admission.  If you think that your child will eat enough to justify both of those increases, then I'd go ahead and do it.

We've found that I can order a kids meal and still not finish all of the food, so the portion size is hearty.  If you find that the portion size is too small for your 8 year old, you can always supplement with another side or share from your plate  Our family of 5 can easily get our fill with 2 adult meals, and one kids' meal to share, but we're not HUGE eaters.

    Have a magical vacation!
