Hi! We are going to WDW, staying at the Polynesian in late April/early May. We have a reservation at HoopDeDoo for the 6:15 pm show. What is best way to get to Pioneer Hall from the Polynesian? About how much time should we allow to get there? Thank you!

Hi Elizabeth! I hope your family enjoys the Hoop Dee Doo Revue as much as my family does. We love the food and the entertainment and try to enjoy it once a year.

You will have two good choices to reach Fort Wilderness. You can hop on the monorail and get off at the Contemporary Resort. Walk down to the marina area where you can then catch the Fort Wilderness boat. Once you arrive at the Fort it is just a short five minute walk to Pioneer Hall.  Your second great choice is to take the monorail from the Polynesian and get off at the Magic Kingdom. You will then get on the Fort Wilderness boat which will be located directly in front of the park entrance. This option will have a bit less walking then stopping at the Contemporary.

This trip is approximately 35 minutes but that is only if you can catch the boats right away. If you are unlucky as I am you will be watching the boat leave just as you arrive at the dock. Then it is another 15-20 minute wait for the next one. I would give yourself a good hour to make the trip over there. There will be lines for check in and another if you wish to have your picture taken. If you have time head over to the Disney stables and see the beautiful horses that are used in the parks. There are also games for the kids to play and a large playground right next to Pioneer Hall plus a small Trading Post store for last minute souvenir shopping. So there will be plenty to do even if you arrive a bit early.

Have fun and whoop it up at the Hoop Dee Doo!
