    We are going to wdw on 1/6/11 and are staying at fort wildness cabins. We are a family of 4 adults and 1 girl age 6. We have decided to leave our plans up in the air except for our first full day will be at the MK. Are we making a mistake?

    I am the family vacation planner. Every detail is in place before we leave home with each trip.

    But when it comes to Disney World, I like to let the magic happen and the Pixie Dust fall into place. You never know if Mickey may be hiding around the corner or if you will find no line at Splash Mountain. So I think it's absolutely o.k. to leave your plans wide open!

    The only recommendation I would have for you is to make your Advance Dining Reservations for any restaurants for which you really have your heart set. Depending on the season or time of day you want to eat, walking up to the restaurant for a table sometimes is not an option. So it's best to play it safe and make a reservation. Same goes with any tours you may want to experience.

    So wave your magic wand and see where it takes you. Have fun!
