Going to WDW on 26/12 and staying at the Contemporary for 7 nights. Asked for a DELUXE Garden wing room but my husband said that we should stay at the Cont. Tower because the monorail goes through there. What is your recommendation? Best room?

Hi, Luciana!    My family and I just returned from a week at the Contemporary and just loved it!   The location was fabulous.    Having the convenient monorail access and just a short walk to the Magic Kingdom made our transportation a breeze.

We stayed in the Tower.   This is a more convenient location for dining and monorail access.   If you stay in the Tower, you can opt for a view of Bay Lake or a view of the Magic Kingdom.   All tower rooms have balconies.

Rooms in the Garden Wing provide you with a just a short walk to the beach and pool area.    You will add a few minutes in walking compared with the Tower to get to the monorail, shops, and dining.   If you stay in the Garden Wing, I would request a water view.   These rooms are much quieter and provide a nice view.  I prefer the first floor rooms so you can walk outside your room on a patio.   Only a few of the rooms on the second and third floors have full balconies.

Which room you choose will depend on a few things:   your preference of being closer to the monorail or pool (if it is the monorail, choose the Tower,) room availability, and your budget.  Whichever room type you choose, all of the rooms are beautifully decorated with modern furnishings.    I hope you enjoy your stay at the Contemporary!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
