We will be in WDW 3/14/09 staying at Beach Resort. Trying to decide if Beach Resort better or Saratoga villas better. 2 families and 78 year grandma. Kids: boys, 12, 12, 8,5. Are Beach resort, not vlla, rooms spacious to stay in for a week or cramped?

Hi Diane,  both the Beach Club Resort and Saratoga Springs are lovely properties.  It's not clear from your question how many rooms you intend to reserve at the Beach Club.  Standard rooms accommodate 4-5 guests comfortably.  Saratoga Springs is a Disney Vacation Club Property, and has accommodations ranging from a studio, which sleeps four (and is similar to a typical resort room with a kitchenette), a one bedroom (sleeps 4) and has a separate living room, dining room,  full kitchen, and washer/dryer, or a two-bedroom which sleeps 8 and has two full baths.  Both the one and two bedrooms would afford significantly more room to spread out than a standard room at the Beach Club.

Some things I would consider in deciding include:
    - How much time will you be in your room?  The Beach Club has an excellent location, and is within walking distance of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  In addition, it is footsteps away from the restaurants and entertainment of the Boardwalk.
    - Do your kids love to swim?  Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club is one of the most popular and well-themed pools at Disney.
    - Would kitchen and laundry facilities make your stay more convenient/comfortable?
    - Do you plan to spend a lot of time shopping/dining at Downtown Disney?  Saratoga Springs is right across from it, and offers convenient ferry boats Downtown.

Whatever you decide, have a great trip!
