We are going to WDW and would like to stay at the animal kingdom Jambo house. We are a family of 6. I think a 2 bedroom villa would be best and cost effective. What do you suggest?

    Hi Joanie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for stopping by once again! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is absolutely one of my favourite places in all of Walt Disney World Resort, so I think it’s the perfect place for you and your family to stay during your upcoming vacation.

I love the size and amenities of a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House and I think that type of room would be perfect for your family of 6. That being said, it’s not the most “cost effective” option as Villa accommodations can be quite expensive if you’re not a Disney Vacation Club Member.

Your most budget-friendly option if you want to stay there would be to book two Studio rooms and request connecting rooms when you check in. That being said, connecting rooms aren’t guaranteed so this option is a bit of a gamble. Plus, Studio accommodations don’t have the same amenities as a 2 Bedroom Villa, including a full kitchen and 3 bathrooms… which could be a definite advantage for a family like yours! I really think that they’re worth the extra cost, so I would definitely encourage you to book that type of accommodation for your family.

    Have a Magical Day,
